while the trappings of the physical world can hold you back , the truth is the only thing holding you back is you. We all accept where we are and until we don’t accept our given circumstances and look further to change our paradigm. To step out of your comfort zone is the only way to succeed further than where you are.
It’s All Still True No person is kept poor because opportunity has been taken away from him—because other people have monopolized the wealth and have put a fence around it. You may decide not to engage in certain kinds of business, but there are other channels open to you. Some market sectors are, as Wallace Wattles put it, pretty well fenced off. Think Microsoft, Google, and even cable providers. However, there are countless opportunities in other areas where you can do exceptionally well. Today, among other things, data protection products and services, home delivery of delicious, healthy food, and providing green options to customers are in high demand. And, with things changing so fast in today’s world, demands for new products and services emerge every day. There are limitless opportunities for anyone who is willing to keep their eyes and their imagination open for new and improved ways of doing things. It is quite true that if you are an employee of a large company, you have little chance of becoming the owner of the company. However, it is also true that if you will start to act in a certain way, you can soon leave the employ of the company and start a business that not only lights you up but also provides a highly desirable product or service to others. At different periods, the tide of opportunity moves in different directions, according to the needs of the whole and to the particular stage of social evolution which has been reached. At present, among other things, opportunities are available for mobile commerce and no-touch alternate payment options, trading and investing while compounding your own assets, faster delivery options, and more There is an abundance of opportunity for the man or woman who will go with the tide, instead of trying to swim against it. Office workers, either as individuals or as a group, are not deprived of opportunity. The workers are not being kept down by their masters—by the powers of big business and the conglomerates. As a group, they are where they are because they do not do things in a certain way. People are where they are because they are not aware of how to go somewhere else, somewhere they’d really love to be. Because of their paradigms, they keep doing things the way they’ve always done them and following the masses, instead of walking their own path. When it begins to do things in a certain way, the working class can become the master class. The law of wealth is the same for them as it is for all other groups. Workers will remain where they are as long as they continue to do as they do. The individual worker, however, is not held down by the ignorance or the mental slothfulness of his class; he can follow the tide of opportunity to riches. This book will tell him how. No one is kept in poverty by a shortness in the supply of riches. There is more than enough for all. A palace as large as the capitol at Washington might be built for every family on earth from the building material in the United States alone. Under intensive cultivation, this country would produce wool, cotton, linen, and silk enough to cloth each person in the world. The visible supply is practically inexhaustible; and the invisible supply really is inexhaustible. Everything you see on earth is made from one original substance, out of which all things proceed. New forms are constantly being made, and older ones are dissolving; but all are shapes assumed by one thing. There is no limit to the supply of formless stuff, or original substance. The universe is made out of it, but it was not all used in making the universe. The spaces in, through, and between the forms of the visible universe are permeated and filled with the original substance—with the formless Stuff, with the raw material of all things. Ten thousand universes can still be made, and even then, the supply of universal raw material will not be exhausted. No person, therefore, is poor because nature is poor, or because there is not enough to go around. Nature is an inexhaustible storehouse of riches. The supply will never run short. Original substance is alive with creative energy and is constantly producing more forms. When the supply of building material is exhausted, more will be produced. When the soil is exhausted so that food stuffs and materials for clothing will no longer grow upon it, it will be renewed or more soil will be made. When all the gold and silver has been dug from the earth—if man is still in such a stage of social development as to need gold and silver—more will be produced from the Formless. The formless stuff responds to the needs of humans; it will not let them be without any good thing. This is true of man collectively. The race as a whole is always abundantly rich. If individuals are poor, it is because they do not follow the certain way of doing things which makes the individual man rich. The formless stuff is intelligent; it is material which thinks. It is alive and is always impelled toward more life. It is the natural and inherent impulse of life to seek to live more. It is the nature of intelligence to enlarge itself and the quality of consciousness to seek to extend its boundaries and find fuller expression. The universe of forms has been made by formless living substance, throwing itself into form in order to express itself more fully. The universe is a great living presence, always moving inherently toward more life and fuller functioning. Nature is formed for the advancement of life; its impelling motive is the increase of life. For this reason, everything which can possibly minister to life is bountifully provided. There can be no lack unless God is to contradict himself and nullify his own works. You are not kept poor by a shortness in the supply of riches. I shall demonstrate a little farther on that even the resources of the formless supply are at the command of the man or woman who will act and think in a certain way. All the abundance in the universe is available to all of us through one formless substance—thought energy. By the thoughts we choose to think, you and I decide what level of riches to bring into our lives and the lives of others. Today, start to replace thoughts of scarcity and inopportunity with thoughts of wonder and possibility. One idea can change your life forever. Right now, even though people are spending more time at home, giant companies are being created in at kitchen tables and basements.

You can have, do, or be anything you want within the laws of nature. Hearing that may seem outrageous, but it’s true.
Many of the accomplished people in the world have applied what you are about to discover in this short post. They created extraordinary results and live completely fulfilling, abundant and rewarding lives. You can do it too! All you have to do is know what you want and, demand it in a certain way … and demand more of yourself. “Isn’t it offensive, bold, or even rude, to demand something?” you may ask. Many people recoil at the very thought of demanding what they want out of life. A reaction like this only occurs because you may not understand what the meaning of demand is in the context that I prescribe. Let me explain. According to the dictionary, the definition is: de· mand: /dəˈmand/, (noun) – an insistent and peremptory request made as if by right. DEMAND is such a misunderstood word. It is a request in which you ask for what you want, knowing the outcome you desire will happen without question or further discussion… As if it is already done. There’s nothing outrageous about that. I call this “The Demand Principle”. At this point you may be asking, “How can I use the Demand Principle to make my desire real?” The answer is simple …demand it! But like everything, there is a process you must follow. Napoleon Hill’s Demand When Napoleon Hill completed his book, he knew the publisher wanted him to come up with a winning title that would send copies of his book flying off the shelves. Every day, he wrote out every title that came to his mind, and every day, the publisher called to hear the latest additions to his list. None of the more than 500 titles that Napoleon had listed were “right”. One day, the publisher called to say that he needed the title by the following day, or the book would be called, “Use Your Noodle and Get The Boodle.” “No!…” Napoleon responded, “You will ruin me if you use that title!” The publisher stood firm, telling him he had until the next day to come up with the perfect title. That night, Napoleon was feeling anxious. He wanted the perfect name for his book, and he needed it in a hurry. His demand started small with quiet, unspecific incantations directed at his subconscious mind as he paced his bedroom floor. As he added more emotion, he started yelling at his subconscious mind to cough up a perfect title. “You and I have gone a long way together. You’ve done a lot of things for me—and some things to me. But I’ve got to have a million-dollar title, and I’ve got to have it tonight! Do you understand me?” His ranting grew to such a noise that his upstairs neighbor started banging a broom handle against Napoleon’s ceiling telling him to quiet down. Shortly thereafter, Napoleon went to bed, having been satisfied that he’d infused sufficient emotion into his demand that his subconscious mind had received the message. Around two o’clock in the morning, the author shot bolt upright and jumped out of bed to write down the title that his subconscious mind had delivered, right on time. Quickly, he phoned the publisher, who answered in a sleepy voice, “You’ve got some nerve calling me in the middle of the night.” “I’ve got it!” Napoleon Hill enthusiastically shouted through the phone. “The million-dollar title is ‘Think And Grow Rich!’” The Publisher loved the new title and they released his book that went on to sell several million copies. In the introduction of Think and Grow Rich there is a 50 cent lesson in persistence about a little girl that demanded 50 cents for her grandmama from her uncle. The uncle repeatedly said no but the kittle girl did not move away from her position and stayed persistent. Once the uncle saw she would not move he became angry and yelled at her to go away of which she did not in fact took one step closer to him asking him once again for 50 cents for her grandmama. The uncle was taken by her effort and persistence and handed her the half dollar. And through that success of that little girl Napolean Hill studied throughout time how a little girl conquered an intelligent man. As we can see it takes much more than just intelligence. Spirit is all conquering... Remember, we live in an abundant universe and everything is available to you — in the same way it was available to Napoleon Hill — if you’re willing to demand it. Demand is not about fighting against the grain, nor is it about force. Force negates. Demand is about perfect, natural, even super-natural alignment with your desire, every moment of every day. No one could have predicted that the world would be the way it is now.
So, I wanted to check on you to see if you need a mental adjustment to quiet anxiety and build a more positive and focused mind. If you want to get some wind back in your sails so you can start moving in the direction of your dreams again, the first thing to do is STOP getting emotionally involved with bad or unsettling news. I say that because the subconscious mind cannot differentiate between that which is real and that which is imagined. If you’re imagining things you don’t want, such as getting sick, losing your job, or not earning the amounts of money you want, your subconscious mind must accept it as real. Your subconscious mind can only accept what you give to it. So, instead of putting your attention on the news (local, country, or global), your current circumstances, or what other people say or do, choose a better way… Start to THINK! Listen, you have the ability to accept or reject the ideas that are flowing into your conscious mind. So, for any negative information that is coming in, you can say, “Get out of here! That’s not what I want.” But do you know something? Ninety plus people out of one hundred don’t do that. Instead of telling it to go away, they leave their subconscious mind wide open and let whatever is going on around them right in. And remember, the subconscious mind cannot differentiate between what is real and what you imagine, so it acts on anything we do not reject and get emotionally involved with. Why do most people live their lives this way? Because we are programmed NOT to think. If people were thinking, they’d STOP talking about bad news and hard times. They’d also quit playing Scrabble on their phone for hours on end and doing the same things over and over, expecting different results. And they would START getting involved in good books and turning their attention to improving their self-image and other forms of personal development. Change your loyalties So, what do you do if you want to reset your mindset for the second half of the year? Ask yourself, “What do I really, really want?” Then, start to think about the details of how you want to feel each day and how you want to live your life. Don’t think about it based on what you’re comfortable with or what you think you can do. Think from an entirely new perspective, come from your dream, not from your limited self. Make a list of all the incredible things that come to mind as you let your imagination flow. When you’re finished, pick the most exciting thing on the list as your goal. Why do all this? Because, as Robert Heinlein said, “In the absence of clearly-defined goals, we become strangely loyal to performing daily trivia, until we ultimately become enslaved by it.” You do it because, if you want to rise above your current circumstances and the news, you need a goal that is so exciting it will make you want to jump out of bed each morning. Then, instead of thinking or talking about things you don’t want, you’ll be loyal to your goal, and it will pull you upward and push you forward. Once you have a clearly-defined goal in mind, you will be ready to… Hit the reset button You can reset your mindset by taking the wheel and changing what you let into your mind. You are in charge of and entirely responsible for your thoughts and what you tell your mind. You don’t have to keep thinking the same old thoughts. You can originate new thoughts, and, through self-talk, you can tell your mind anything you want. Tell your mind a new story by doing the following three things, and it will respond accordingly: 1. There are only two ways to impress an idea into your subconscious mind. One is with a sudden impact; the other is with repetition. Using repetition, repeat this affirmation every day for the next three weeks: I willingly release the thoughts and things that clutter my mind, and I allow Spirit to work through me and express itself in a far greater way. I recognize that my results and my being are not the same things, and I reaffirm that I am a creative person. I go forward in a spirit of expectation and understand that I cannot know all of what the universe has in store for me, so I will remain open to all things. I am so happy and grateful now that the good, which I desire, is worthy of me. I move forward with the joyful expectation that I will achieve my goal. 2. Every time you look in the mirror, stop looking at yourself as only the physical body you see in the mirror and start seeing and thinking of yourself as the spiritual being that you are. You’ve got perfection inside you. It is the spiritual essence of who you are. Sometimes that perfection shines into your consciousness as a want or desire. When it does, listen to it. Your wants come from the heart, your spiritual center. Understand that an urge to be, do, or have more is Spirit wanting to work through you to express itself in a more significant way. 3. Take a look at what you’re doing every day, your habitual behaviors. Then, pick one behavior that is not serving you, and decide you’re going to change it. Trying to change too many things at once won’t work. So, pick just one or possibly two behaviors. For example, if you’re sleeping late every morning and you want to get up earlier, here’s how you might change it. Start by getting up 15 minutes earlier every day for a week. Then, the next week, set your alarm for15 minutes earlier. Keep doing this until you’re getting up at least one hour earlier than you are now. Then, use that “extra” time to study, visualize, or do another activity that will help you shift your mindset. These may seem like simple exercises, but they have power beyond their words. Use them, and you’ll start to worry less and build a more positive and goal-focused mind. And once you learn how to do it, the skill of resetting your mind will be yours forever. To your success, Simply put - the person who WANTS to win the most, typically will. There is no characteristic other than desire that causes people to win at the highest levels. It's not your race, color, religion, looks, educational background, career background, intelligence, or any other factor. I've seen those who had all the advantages in the world fail. You know the ones I'm talking about... good looking, highly educated, former CEO's, lawyers, doctors, executives, those with tons of credibility, etc. I've also seen those who had none of the advantages in the world succeed at the highest levels... no business background, 18 years old to 80 years old, no education, no previous success, no credibility, etc. So what's the difference? DESIRE The former CEO I've seen fail just didn't want to win as much as the 18-year-old kid just out of high school who hit the top rank in the company. Here's another little nugget... In life , you have to be willing to take a punch. Hell, you have to be willing to take a lot of punches that come in the form of rejection. Without a very high level of desire, you'll never be willing to go through enough rejection to make it to the top. Remember this... Dreams are the fuel that fire desire. If you want to harness your passion, your drive, your determination, your discipline, you must have a dream large enough to fuel all of those things. John Maxwell says, "If you don't want much, you won't do much." Tony Robbins says, "There's no such thing as unmotivated people. There are just people with impotent dreams." So the question of the day is this... has your dream become impotent? Often, life beats us down and we go from being a child and having a dream of being a multi-millionaire cruising on a yacht or living in a mansion to having dreams like simply getting out of debt or having enough money to pay the bills. Dreams like paying off your car instead of positively impacting the lives of thousands. The hard truth is that small dreams produce small results. While this is an acceptable path for some, it will never be the path to abundant success. it's time to turn your dream machine back on because big thinkers inspire others to think big... big dreamers inspire others to dream big. As a leader, you help pull out the desire within your organization, and the best way to do that is to pull it out of yourself. We are in the business of duplication so make it a goal to set yourself on fire with a massive dream so that fire spreads As though slipping behind a curtain, despite the room being full of people, I didn’t feel self-conscious but rather I was at one with myself. My undivided focus was on my chalk marking the easel. My thoughts were no longer occupied by the fact that my least favorite subject was next or the latest family drama. I was free from all distractions as I watched my hands create a picture seemingly all by themselves. Slipping into a trance like state, it was as if body and mind where one, I had been possessed in the process of creation. Time stood still. The work felt bigger than me, it’s creator. My focus was laser sharp, but I felt a deep sense of calm. I felt passionate, even though to the naked eye, all there was to see was a schoolgirl silently drawing at her easel.
Over the years I had experienced flow in a few places, but in art class I had learned to slip into that state within minutes. There is another story I can tell you. In this story I am also present in the moment, laying on my bed staring up at the ceiling. I’m not happy here but I don’t know what else to do. I feel tired from the week, but my mind is restless. I don’t want anything in particular other than this feeling to stop. I think of a few different things I could do but there seems no good reason to do any of them. Against my better judgement, I get up, wander around and try to do something that resembles productivity, but nothing is matching up. Everything is taking three times as long. I am indecisive and distracted. I conclude that life is meaningless and decide to go back to bed until there is something that I have to do. No, I’m not depressed. This state of mind is known as existential crisis. Researchers say it’s experienced by people who do what they are told to do rather than what they want to do. And in modern society, we are told what to do until we adopt that way of thinking for ourselves. For example, I’m not sure any of us where born with the desire to work from nine to five but the majority of us do it for a majority of our lives. We become at risk of being so busy doing what we are told to do that we forget what we would do if we had a choice. When I was unemployed for a year this is the question I was forced to face. For such a long time, my life was consumed with what I had to do. But what did I want to do? In middle school, when I got a part time job and the academic workload picked up, I started to feel like I didn’t run the show anymore. The repression of myself was painful at first but over time I got good at distracting myself, staying busy and accepting this new reality. That is not to say that it was all bad but pushing through far outweighed any other mode of existence. So, when I was occupation-less for one year, there was nowhere else to run. And in that year, that’s when societal expectations and what I wanted had their final showdown. I took back the director’s role in my life once more. I discovered that I needed time to create. Creating is my release. Creating is my reason for being but it was also important to me that I was creating for a purpose. Any mode of living where I found myself too busy to do so, felt ill-fitting and soul-suffocating to me. Upon this discovery, existential crisis walked out the door and hasn’t been seen since. What is concerning is how long we can ‘live’ without being the director of our own lives. Which is why it fills me with both happiness and sadness when I hear these words. “I learned how to dream again, something that I thought I had lost.” I feel for them because I have been there. Let us be clear; it’s not our fault that we lost touch with our dreams to begin with. It’s as though we learn to distrust ourselves as we grow up. Children are rewarded for good behavior and punished for bad behavior when in fact there are no bad children, just children with different needs, gifts and truths. These identities formed in childhood, that are reinforced externally by others, go on to inform the stories we tell ourselves in adulthood. When we are young and stand out from the herd, we risk ridicule, bullying, excessive discipline, and blame. I, like many others, learned to equate my level of conformity with my level of worthiness. I, like many others, learned to derive my status, and supported my ego with productivity, good grades and being a good girl. But the truth is, we do not need to turn our backs on some part of ourselves to maintain our worth. We do not need to continually say “yes” when we feel like it’s a “no”. We were all born with an innate sense of our own truth. You can trust your inner yes’s and no’s to lead you to your passions that really are the expression of your ultimate purpose. You can rid your life of existential crisis and increase living from your flow state. Start to listen to your internal guidance system. And start to watch out for the word “should” in your internal dialogue. It’s the first indication that you might be living out someone else’s agenda for your life. Once you have a good sense of direction, and have found your existential fuel, the rest is so much clearer. So, when was the last time you experienced flow? What gives you so much joy, that you will do it just for the sake of doing it? Your desires are the seed of all your achievements. They are there to remind you what you are capable of. Certain words have several connotations.
“Imagination” is such a word. People use this word to convey various ideas; some of them are directly opposed to one another. For example, we may ask a person to ‘use their imagination’ when we think their current viewpoint is too restricted and not equal to the task. Then, we might tell another person that their ideas are ‘pure imagination,’ thereby implying that their concept is unsound. When we use a word this broadly, it can cease to mean anything at all. However, that’s a big mistake when it comes to a term that’s as consequential as “imagination.” After all, Albert Einstein said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” That’s a shocking statement coming from one of the most intelligent people in history. So, I think it’s worth taking some time to understand what imagination is and what it can do for us when we use it properly. The Truth Shall Set You Free Imagination is not just a whimsical activity that we engage in as children. And it’s not something we should shy away from as adults. It is the very gateway to reality. You see, through our imagination, we have the power to be anything we desire to be. That’s because, even if it’s false, any belief, assumption, or idea that is persisted in or repeated often enough will become fact. When you let your physical senses control you, you see and focus on what is—a low bank balance, an illness, a business that’s struggling. However, you can see a high bank balance, perfect health, and a thriving business when you engage your imagination. As we awaken to the power of the imaginative life, we discover that to imagine a thing repeatedly makes it so. We also realize our lives’ circumstances are the fruit bearing witness to the use or misuse of the imagination. Escape the Jail that Ignorance Built To understand how the imagination works, we must explore the conscious and subconscious mind. The conscious mind is the part of you that thinks and reasons. It’s also where your free will lies—where you decide what you want to do and what you want to focus on. Sensory factors are how you correspond with the outside world through sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste. When you allow external stimuli to direct your thoughts, you focus on your current results or your current reality. On the other hand, your mental faculties, such as your imagination, allow you to direct the energy that is always flowing to and through you inward. By focusing there, you can build any idea or thought you want. This is important because the thoughts you choose—whether they come from outside or inside—will eventually determine your life results. As you accept and emotionalize an idea, it is impressed upon your subconscious mind. The conscious mind accepts or creates ideas and impresses those ideas on the subconscious mind. The subconscious originates ideas. It simply gives form and expression to each idea that is impressed on it. The subconscious mind is concerned with the truth of your thoughts or ideas. It accepts as truth what the conscious mind feeds to it. Anything we think, believe, or feel is true, the subconscious produces the exact likeness of that idea in the outer or objective world. Therefore, through our freedom and power to choose and create the ideas we will entertain, we control creation. This is how everything that is manmade is made. And this is where we stay focused on what we let enter. Enter in with the good. Everything Starts in Your Imagination Napoleon Hill said, “Imagination is the most marvelous, miraculous, inconceivably powerful force the world has ever known.” Unfortunately, most people use their imagination against themselves. They imagine what they don’t want. Begin to use your imagination the way God intended it to be used. Use the creative, unadulterated power that is always flowing to and through you to build any image you want, the image of how you really want to live. (The download below illustrates how this works.) You do that by blocking out what’s going on now and using your imagination to go into the future and bring it into the present. Forget about your current circumstances. Instead, think only of what you want. Then, use your imagination to build a beautiful picture in your mind and hold that image there so you can live from that place. That’s what all highly-successful people do. They see where they want to go, and then they act like the person they want to become. Your imagination is a mental faculty that will take you anywhere you want to go. It will take you to other countries. It will take you to another time and space. And it will take you to the fulfillment of a dream. Think about how you are using your imagination. Make sure you use it to build a better day today, tomorrow, and next week. To more and better, According to Earl Nightingale’s definition, a success is anyone who is realizing a worthy predetermined ideal.
So a success is the farmer who is growing crops because that’s what he wants to do. A success is the entrepreneur who starts her own company because that was her dream. A success is the office manager who wants to become the best manager in the company and pursues that goal. In his wonderful book, The Magic of Thinking Big, Dr. David Schwartz tells a story about a man who was an exceptionally successful management consultant… When you walked into this man’s office you felt that you were really “uptown.” The fine furniture, the carpeting, the busy people, the important clients, all told you his company was prosperous. Behind this prosperous and respected company was the story of a man who lost ten years’ savings in his first six months in business and who lived in his office for several months because he didn’t have money to pay rent on an apartment. A man who turned down numerous “good” jobs because he wanted more to stay with his idea and make it work. A man who heard prospects for his service say no a hundred times as often as they said yes. This very successful management consultant wasn’t a brilliant man or a wealthy man or a lucky man. He was simply a persistent man who never thought he was defeated—he kept moving toward his goal. This man didn’t become successful when he could afford fine furniture and carpeting. He was a success the moment he decided to start his business. And there’s the story Bob’s shares in the video about when he was pole vaulting. He had no idea he was succeeding when he knocked down the bar. Isn’t this a refreshing way to view success? Think about it … No matter how many setbacks you have had or how long it will take to get there, you are a success as long as you know where you are going. Don’t you just love that? To more and better, Can you guess who said this?
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift. It was Albert Einstein. One would assume that Einstein favored logic over intuition, yet the reverse is true. Einstein understood that intuition is a form of intelligence that goes beyond the rational mind. It eavesdrops on the mind of the universe, giving us access to infinite possibilities. A universal giftMany people believe that only women have intuition. However, there is absolutely no basis or foundation for this belief. Every one of us has been gifted with an intuitive factor. When you and I tap into our intuitive mind, we connect to the perfect, unlimited side of ourselves, the deep spiritual essence of who we are. And that allows us to accomplish uncommon things. For example, highly effective salespeople, police detectives, and lawyers have a highly-developed intuitive factor. They stand out in their respective fields because they’ve trained themselves to pick up on people’s energy instead of just hearing what they’re saying. It’s likely that, at least once in your lifetime, you’ve experienced the magical power of your intuition… Think of a time when someone looked into your eyes and told you they loved you or promised they were going to do something, and you knew they were lying. Or a time you sensed something was wrong with a loved one, but they assured you everything was fine. However, later you found out that the person was, in fact, facing a serious problem. It was your intuitive factor that enabled you to pick up those unspoken messages. Another myth about intuitionYou often hear people say that intuition is a sixth sense. They are wrong. Intuition is not a sense at all; it’s a mental faculty that enables us to tune into the universe’s energy by sensing vibrations. For example, you can use it to “read” other people since everyone is a mass of energy vibrating at a remarkably high speed. Your intuitive factor will pick up vibrations coming from a person. Quite often, if you have a close relationship with someone, you will pick up what they are thinking, even before they verbally express it to you. You don’t have to take my word for it—test it for yourself. Over the next week, whenever you’re with a person with whom you have built an excellent rapport, and you feel they are thinking about something, in particular, tell them what you think and listen to their feedback. Be aware that a person could be saying one thing and yet, thinking another. However, vibrations never lie. With practice, you will eventually get to the point where you will pay closer attention to the vibrations you are receiving rather than the words you are hearing. And what about hunches? When you are in tune with your intuition, you can receive flashes of insight and leaps of creativity that your logical, linear mind cannot make. However, you must be paying attention. We are often unaware of our intuition’s messages because the busyness of life, fear, and agitation cloud them or crowd them out. To develop your intuitive factor, start paying attention to things you would typically not attach any importance to. Notice the feelings you get and the thoughts that knock on the door of your mind that you might ordinarily dismiss. Those “feelings”… those “hunches”… those “coincidences”… are all valuable messages from the universal mind, meant to guide you in the right direction. Once you start paying attention, you’ll be surprised by how often the voice of intuition tries to reach you during a day. And you’ll start feeling your way through life, paying attention to your feelings and hunches, and staying open and flexible instead of rigidly sticking to a plan. One of the most valuable mental tools you possess“We must walk consciously only part way toward our goal, and then leap in the dark to our success.” ― Henry David Thoreau I agree with Thoreau. When we’re going for a big goal, we have to jump into the unknown at some point. However, here’s something you must keep in mind… If you leap into the dark without being clear on what you want and where you’re going, you’re rolling the dice. There’s no telling where you will land. To reach your goal, you must bring your heartfelt desires into crystallized focus and put your heart-centered attention on what you envision. And, if you tap into your intuitive mind, you’ll get there faster because you will connect to the perfect, unlimited side of yourself that can help guide you to your intended destination. However, if you or someone you know has followed hunches in the past only to be deeply disappointed with the results, you may be wondering where things went wrong. Is it my intuition or ego?Reaching lofty goals or making important decisions are best made by our intuitive mind, informed by our past choices and experiences. However, if the models you have built over time for making quick decisions are defective, you are likely to suffer from unconscious incompetence. And you’ll make poor choices and judgment in life and business. Having a strong desire for something is not a reason to ignore your intuition. However, when you receive guidance, it may not always be easy to discern if it’s coming from your ego or intuition, and you can let that guide your next move. So, here are my suggestions. First, become aware of the feeling that is behind the guiding thought. If you’re feeling anxious, insecure, or tense from the thought, it’s likely coming from your ego. If you’re feeling uplifted and like the idea is coming from a loving, authentic place, it’s your intuition. And second, learn, observe, and work to improve the details that inform your intuitive thinking to help you make better gut decisions. By working on noticing situations, recognizing patterns and recurrent thoughts, and asking for guidance each day, you can get better at making gut decisions. To more and better, Are there people in your life who regularly cause you to feel bad about yourself? Most of us care what others think of us, so knowing that someone doesn’t like or approve of the judgments we’ve made or how we look at things can be hurtful. And when we’re judged by someone whose approval we crave, such as a parent, family, spouse, teacher, boss, friend the criticism can cause intense distress and damage self-esteem.
Harsh or relentless disparagement from people who are believed to love us, often clothed as caring advice or helpful prodding, can be particularly toxic. It’s helpful to realize that it’s one thing to feel bad when someone doesn’t approve of us; it’s quite another to allow their disapproval to shape our self-image. Eleanor Roosevelt said, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” She was absolutely right. Negative comments about our lives are opinions, not facts. How we feel, however, is a fact, and an important one at that. Thus, it’s rational and healthy to nurture relationships that bring out the best in us and to cut off or distance ourselves from those that bring us down. There are, however, two strategies worth trying before you limit or eliminate contact with critical people whom you care about. Try to fix the relationship by respectfully confronting the negative influences in your life. Don’t attack them for hurting you, just explain how you feel when they criticize you and see if they care about you enough to modify their conduct. If that doesn’t work, try to build immunity to their negativity if that relationship is what you want to continue. It is ok to let relationships go even if they have been long term because that long-term effect could be helping hold you back from your greatness. Think of the hurtful comments of your incorrigible critics ravings – is it worth your energy trying to ignore them?. If not Let it GOOOOOO. Today I’m going to open up to a truth that I see about every high profile entrepreneur/coach/speaker - myself included.
We need our training as much as the people hearing hit. So much of the coaching I give , I’m coaching to myself as much as I am to you. Working past self-sabotaging beliefs, lack of discipline, judgment, emotional issues, lack of self-worth, you name it. Here’s the reality… We’re all a hot mess at times. (Beware of the "Goo-Roo" who presents themself as perfect in every way for they tend to fall the hardest.) For the most part, I feel like I have my stuff together. But I’m by no means perfect and I never will be. Heck, I curse in emails from time to time! Why? Simply because I curse in real life from time to time. I’m not here trying to be perfect or to represent myself in a way that’s not the authentic. What you see is what you get. Just working to be the authentic me. I get that some people can’t handle and are offended. I’m cool with that as I’m only looking to connect with "my people" who want the real. No sugar-coating and no faking the person I really am. With all that said, there’s a big lesson here today. I used to beat myself up because of my "perceived" faults. Lemme give you some examples… I can be judgmental as hell sometimes. It's not a trait I’m proud of. I do work to be less judgmental and, truth be told, I probably tend to judge others for the things that I see in myself at times of which I try harder then heck to stay away from. Also situations I have experienced I did not like and possibly tend to see parts in another without giving more time to explore who they really are. I could beat myself up for my judgmental nature (which would be judging myself)… Or I can just accept that there is a judgmental part of me and realize I am loving, kind, respectful, loyal and peaceful. So instead of beating myself up when judgment strikes, I can just acknowledge, be aware of it and analyze it and move past it. Move onto another paradigm shift that allows for new insight. Here’s another… Sometimes I have self-limiting beliefs. I can beat myself up for those beliefs Or I can accept they are simply part of me, and know that this is what God intends for me and to continue being aware always moving forward. Here’s another… I’m a natural extrovert but only when I feel the time is right Not the ideal situation for network marketers whose career is based on building relationships. I can beat myself up for that and use it as an excuse to fail… Or I can accept that’s my nature, have the courage to move past it, and go be successful anyway. I could go on and on. There are plenty of things that I could use as an excuse to fail. But you know what? Plenty of other hugely successful people have those same perceived faults about themselves and they had success anyway. The point I’m getting at is this… Stop beating yourself up for the things you think hold you back. They don’t. Only your belief about them holding you back holds you back. Here are a few simple steps:
What makes you a powerful leader is NOT being perfect in every way. No one relates to or connects with Mr. or Ms. Perfect. Show people you can be a hot mess and succeed massively anyway. |
