Simply put - the person who WANTS to win the most, typically will. There is no characteristic other than desire that causes people to win at the highest levels. It's not your race, color, religion, looks, educational background, career background, intelligence, or any other factor. I've seen those who had all the advantages in the world fail. You know the ones I'm talking about... good looking, highly educated, former CEO's, lawyers, doctors, executives, those with tons of credibility, etc. I've also seen those who had none of the advantages in the world succeed at the highest levels... no business background, 18 years old to 80 years old, no education, no previous success, no credibility, etc. So what's the difference? DESIRE The former CEO I've seen fail just didn't want to win as much as the 18-year-old kid just out of high school who hit the top rank in the company. Here's another little nugget... In life , you have to be willing to take a punch. Hell, you have to be willing to take a lot of punches that come in the form of rejection. Without a very high level of desire, you'll never be willing to go through enough rejection to make it to the top. Remember this... Dreams are the fuel that fire desire. If you want to harness your passion, your drive, your determination, your discipline, you must have a dream large enough to fuel all of those things. John Maxwell says, "If you don't want much, you won't do much." Tony Robbins says, "There's no such thing as unmotivated people. There are just people with impotent dreams." So the question of the day is this... has your dream become impotent? Often, life beats us down and we go from being a child and having a dream of being a multi-millionaire cruising on a yacht or living in a mansion to having dreams like simply getting out of debt or having enough money to pay the bills. Dreams like paying off your car instead of positively impacting the lives of thousands. The hard truth is that small dreams produce small results. While this is an acceptable path for some, it will never be the path to abundant success. it's time to turn your dream machine back on because big thinkers inspire others to think big... big dreamers inspire others to dream big. As a leader, you help pull out the desire within your organization, and the best way to do that is to pull it out of yourself. We are in the business of duplication so make it a goal to set yourself on fire with a massive dream so that fire spreads
