You want to free yourself from whatever rut you find yourself
in, because the only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth of the hole. This is my way of sending a rope down to you so you can pull yourself out. Because success shouldn’t be this grueling, life-long process, and it certainly doesn’t have to be. This is what happens if you choose to dream small. (And yes, it’s always a choice.) When you have greatness within you, which you do, and you only come to meet that greatness halfway, you wind up having an okay life, even a “good” life, but not a great life, not an extraordinary life. True success starts with your ability to first conceptualize your dream and then to believe wholeheartedly that its achievement is possible for you. Desire is the one element that will keep you going strong when things get tough. It’s the one element that separates the good from the great, the mediocre from the truly successful, and it’s what turns you from thinking that you can’t to knowing that you must Former football coach Vince Lombardi said it best with his famous quote, “Winning isn’t everything, but wanting to win is.” Desire is a foundational secret to success. But unfortunately, there’s a narrative today that perpetuates this idea that desire is an innate trait that we are either born with or not. We all have the same capacity for desire at birth, the same ability to generate that deeply burning flame. So why is it, then, that as we grow into adults some of us seem to have a flame that grows into a raging fire, while others’ merely flicker weakly or, worse yet, get snuffed out entirely? Like all fires that require oxygen and combustible material, desire must have life continually breathed into it and fuel to consistently burn. Good Luck and dream on with desire!!!!
