. Comment (Continued from yesterday)
Once we finished laughing about the 11 of us being stuck in a 5 person elevator, we start pushing the alarm button. Someone finally comes banging around outside trying to open the elevator. No luck. He tells us he’ll have to call maintenance… So we wait… Interestingly enough, 11 people squeezed into a 5 person metal box starts to generate a LOT of body heat. After 45 minutes or so, our good-natured joking around started becoming less and less as we’re all sweating profusely. And not just sweating profusely… Sweating profusely all over each other because we’re packed in so tight it was impossible not to be touching at least two other people at all times. One of the leaders starts getting pretty irritated. (We had pushed him to come have fun with us when he just wanted to go to bed that night) But finally, our savior is here! We hear the maintenance guy outside asking how many of us are in there. Not wanting to admit the totality of our guilt, someone mumbles out "10 or so"… (as if 10 in a 5 person elevator is not so bad as 11) He tells us to back away from the door. Then we see the doors open slightly revealing a man with a crowbar prying the door open down by our feet allowing us to see we’re in between two levels. Suddenly the elevator drops slowly to the next floor, the doors open, we rush out and take a deep breath of the much fresher hallway air. All of us happy and grateful for our escape! Why am I telling you this story? Well, the simple fact that you’re still reading tells me this story has kept your attention and proves a powerful point. We’ve all heard the cliche "facts tell & stories sell"… Very true… but more than just helping you "sell", stories captivate and grab attention in a powerful way. If you’re looking to build a brand online and create a loyal following… If you want to become a talented trainer and impact people in a powerful way… If you want to rise to become a powerful leader… You want to get good at telling stories. If you’d like some coaching on how to become a great storyteller (along with some word-for-word stories you can use in network marketing to inspire and close people) Comment and let me know or email me at my contact email [email protected]
