I sit down and turn the camera on and making sure my video is also on Im just about ready to record my first video for my team.
So I start recording. I see my audio is not working correctly. So I flub with that for a minute. Then I see my video is off balance. So I re align the camera. I start my recording. I flub the first sentence. Re-record Then about 45 seconds of solid recording time in before i flub again. Then 4 or 5 times in a row, I get tongue-tied and have to re-record before finally getting the promo completely recorded. At one point, in frustration, I cry out... "Why am I having such a problem with this!?" It was SO frustrating constantly screwing up. I felt like I would never get it down. But because I kept at it, I can hop on and do a live video for an hour without skipping a beat. The key? Being willing to screw it up enough times to get good. Keep doing it and it becomes second nature. It’s the same with just about anything you want to get good at.
